AP Exam Information
AP courses and exams are challenging and demanding. AP prepares students for college and improves one's chance of getting into a competitive college. Student should check college catalogs for the institutions in which they are interested to determine the policies for awarding college credit. These policies vary from college to college and need to be considered before enrolling in an AP class.

All students in an Advance Placement class are required to take the AP exam in May. The exams are prepared and graded by AP Services, College Board. Students must pay the AP exam fee of $84.00 (approximately). AP teachers will accept AP fees from February 1-February 28. The deadline for payment is February 28, 2008. After February 28, a $20.00 late fee will be added. Checks must be payable to Heritage High School. Students who are ill on AP exam day should bring a note from a physician. An alternate AP exam will be given. AP grade reports will be mailed to students in early July. Students who take alternate AP exams will receive score reports in August. See Dr. Laughon for additional information.

>> Fee Waiver: available if you meet the criteria for AP testing, set by College Board, AP
